We at Kuppa Coffee wanted to do our best to live that theme this year. We have teamed up with the legends at Mt Lawley fave Local & Aesthetic cafe to deliver a family friendly morning of music, art, food and of course COFFEE! Kuppa will be supplying the coffee for the day with proceeds from coffee sales going towards The Healing Foundation.
The Healing Foundation is a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation that provides a platform to amplify the voices and lived experience of Stolen Generations survivors and their families. They work with communities to create a place of safety, providing an environment for Stolen Generations survivors and their families to speak for themselves, tell their own stories, and be in charge of their own healing.
Vibes will be flowing thanks to Sovereign sistagirls DJ INDIYA and DJ Pindan Princess who are two Boorloo based baddies with a shared love of music.Together, they create the perfect DJ duo, serving you Blackfulla beats, smooth soul and dreamy Rnb to accompany your morning coffee.
Take a trip into the creativity of Seantelle Walsh, who will be painting live on the day. Seantelle is a Noongar artist, born and raised in Boorloo, Perth (Whadjuk Country). She identifies strongly with her culture and explores these connections through storytelling in her work.
Excited to also have Naidoc markets set up - so make sure to grab your coffee and walk through while supporting small indigenous business'.
Book a table and get yourself some of Local & Aesthetic series of classic breakfast and lunch options, as well as some creative and exciting seasonal dishes showcasing the produce WA has to offer, or just pop down grab a coffee and wander through.
Support a great cause with your simple morning coffee :)
